TEDxFUTO
TEDxFUTO is a franchise of TED.
In the spirit of sharing ideas and spreading knowledge, TED created a subset program,
TEDx, an independently organized TED event which brings people together
to share TED-like experiences anywhere in the world.
In the same vein, at TEDxFUTO, talks from speakers will spark discussions on crucial societal
issues which will lead to positive change thereafter.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Accounting for sold tickets online by volunteers can be tricky.
Attendees fill the form of attending an event and their details goes to the system
but some don’t complete the registration process.
It can be really hard keeping accurate record of
tickets sold by volunteers.
SOLUTION

Create a volunteers profile that can be viewed by the admin.

Design a volunteers ticket sales page showing both pending and valid payments.

Design an admin page to track ticket sales.
IDEA PHASE
BRAINSTORMING
Task was given to each team members after researching the best direction to go about the ticket sales.
An admin page was also included to keep track of all ticket sales for easy admission to the event.
I was tasked with designing and coding the front-end of the volunteers profile page and the volunteers ticket sales page which keeps track of pending and valid ticket sales.
DESIGN PHASE
STYLE GUIDE
HIGH FIDELITY
After designing in Figma, I switched to VS Code to design the front-end of both the volunteer profile and ticket sales page.
After coding the UI, I submitted the complete work using Github.
TEST PHASE
USABILITY TESTING
After the visual designs and development were completed, we conducted usability testing by testing it on the volunteers. They wanted social links to be included in their profile and also wanted it to be responsive.
IMPLEMENTING FEEDBACK
One of the major feedback from our participants was to allow the volunteers insert their social links. and made it responsive.
RESULTS AND TAKEAWAYS
We were able to successfully deploy the designs and develop the front and backend of the project. It made tracking paid and pending tickets easier to track when trying to admit attendees into the event hall.
Some key takeaways are :
- It was really exciting working on both the designs and developing the user interface of the task given to me before the deadline. It helped me come up with designs that feasible.
- Effective communication with my team members was really helpful in handing off designs and bringing the project to life.
